Mr Thomas Daly graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1980. He came to England to work as an Associate in practices in Kelvedon and Clacton as soon as he qualified. In 1986 Tom opened his original practice at Dovercourt as TJ Daly and Associates and quickly it became obvious it needed to expand. In 1997 having outgrown the original site the practice moved to its current location at 49 Kingsway Dovercourt. In 2003 a further practie in Clacton was added to the group.
Tom is a Generalist Dentist and has a special interest in Cosmetic and Implant dentistry. He has attended many post-Graduate course in the UK, Germany and Italy. He has been successfully placing implants since 2001. Over the past three years Tom has been providing a significant improvement on previous immediate implant treatment in one day using a Technique pioneered by a brilliant Dentist called Dr Marco DeGidi. (WeldOne). We are one of only a dozen practices providing this in the UK.
Tom is a proud father of four grown up kids. He loves most sports - but especially football. for his sins he has a season ticket at Fulham and he also loves Liverpool FC. He played 7 a side football until June 2017 when a serious injury to both knees ended that pursuit. Now swimming and less stressful fitness regimes apply.

Riaan qualified at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) B. Ch.Dd (1998). He then went to on to complete further education at the University of Warwick (UK) and gained his M.Sc. Implant dentistry (2009). Riaan joined the practice in 1998 and he enjoys general dentistry but has a special interest in implant dentistry and aesthetics. He spends his time away from dentistry with with and three young children, together exploring the great outdoors. Riaan enjoys cooking for his family and socialising with friends. In recent years Riaan has become an accomplished runner, competing in many local charitable events.

Ernst joined our practice in March 2003.
He is interested in the full spectrum of dentistry and is very good with nervous or anxious patients.
Ernst is married and has three sons that are all currently studying. We have been told he is a mean chef at the BBQ!!!

Nikolas qualified from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy in 2019. Since then he has worked in practices in Greece, Ipswich and London. He is experienced in the cosmetic dentistry field including Invisalign, Porcelain Veneers and Composite Bonding. He has also completed a post graduate program in Implant Dentistry. Nikolas enjoys building a strong rapport with patients and always puts their interest first. He is very confident, reassuring and friendly with his patients.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves travelling around the world.
Dental Hygienist

Rachel is a graduate from The University of Essex. She previously worked as a dental nurse for many years before progressing her career in dentistry as a dental hygienist.
She has have a keen interest in nutrition and its effects on oral and general health and enjoys helping patients to improve their smiles.
When she is not doing that, she enjoys showing her dogs, riding her horse, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Kelly joined our practice in July 2021, she has been a dental nurse since 2003 and gained the National certificate in dental nursing in 2005. She has a keen interest in surgical treatments and gained the National certificate for dental nurse sedation qualification in 2017.
In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, running and indoor climbing.
She regularly does ultra challenges to raise money for charities.

Daisy joined the practice in July 2020. Daisy is our multi-site nurse who covers 3 practices in the area.
In her spare time Daisy likes majorettes and banger racing.
Dental Nurse/Receptionist
Katie joined Bayview in 2020 and qualified as a dental nurse in March 2023. Katie works alongside Dr Riaan McCrae on a Thursday and is one of our friendly receptionists. She is the first point of contact for patients on arrival and on the telephone. Katie is a great asset to the team and is passionate about helping patients through their journey.😊
Katie in her spare times loves to travel and explore new places, she also enjoys cooking and going to festivals and concerts with friends. Katie loves making memories with her family, especially her five siblings and her nan and grandad.

I qualified to become a dental nurse in February 2022. I had always wanted to become a dental nurse, so I started training as soon as I left High School, age 16.
I enjoy looking after patients and making them feel comfortable during treatment. I also have a special interest in radiography and I am currently on a radiography course. I list "making a patient's day" as the most rewarding part of my job.
I live with my mum, dad and enjoy spending time with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy taking my dog, Bella, for long walks in Wrabness woods and listening to music.
Dental Nurse
Beth joined our practice in November 2022. She has been a dental nurse since 2016 and trained at Colchester Institute. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at the local sea scout group and spending time with her dog.
Treatment Care Coordinator and Stock Control

Fran started working at the practice in 2001 as an administrator, over the years she has qualified as a dental nurse and radiographer. Her current role as TCO involves caring and ensuring patients understand their treatments and costs involved. She deals with the stock ordering for the surgery’s and is one of our radiographers, taking X-rays and scans.
Outside of work Fran is married with three grown up children and has four grandchildren. Fran’s spare time is spent walking her dog, she enjoys family time and going out with her friends.
Practice Manager

Tracy has been working in dentistry for 28 years. She started as a dental nurse in Orthodontics in London and worked her way up to Practice Manager.
She then moved to Dovercourt in 2004 and joined Bay View as a dental nurse and has worked as a receptionist, treatment care co-ordinator and finally moved to Practice Manager. We are a busy practice and pride ourselves on not only our patient care, but the care of our team as well.
Outside of work she is married with 2 children. She enjoys reading, baking and travelling as much as possible.
Treatment Care Coordinator
Korren is a qualified is our Treatment Care Coordinator at the Bay View practice in Harwich. Korren has worked here since July 2015. Korren is responsible for managing our patients’ treatment plans and ensuring that they receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner.
Korren loves being part of the team and is always happy to help out any of the girls when needed. She works hard and loves dealing with patients and making them feel settled, especially when they are nervous!
Korren loves spending time being a busy mum to her 2 children. She loves being out in the sunshine and going on holidays with her family.
Head Receptionist
Carmen has been working in dentistry since 2009 and has a wealth of knowledge in general dentistry and orthodontics.
After moving to Dovercourt in 2020, Carmen started working at Bay View Dental Practice in September 2021 as part of the reception team. Since this Carmen has progressed to the position of Assistant Practice Manager.
Carmen thoroughly enjoys her days at work and working as a team supporting patients on a day to day basis.
Outside of work Carmen enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Receptionist
I joined the team at Bay View Dental in December 2022 and work on Reception.
As a receptionist for the practice, I am the first point of contact for patients on arrival and over the phone. I enjoy welcoming our patients into the practice every day making them feel very welcome and at ease. I love being part of a great team!
Outside of work, I'm married, a Mum and have 2 dogs. In my spare time I enjoy taking the dogs for long walks along the beach. I love spending time with my family and enjoy a BBQ or two in the summer!
