Ernst joined our practice in March 2003.
He is interested in the full spectrum of dentistry and is very good with nervous or anxious patients.
Ernst is married and has three sons that are all currently studying. We have been told he is a mean chef at the BBQ!!!

Riaan qualified at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) B. Ch.Dd (1998). He then went to on to complete further education at the University of Warwick (UK) and gained his M.Sc. Implant dentistry (2009). Riaan joined the practice in 1998 and he enjoys general dentistry but has a special interest in implant dentistry and aesthetics. He spends his time away from dentistry with with and three young children, together exploring the great outdoors. Riaan enjoys cooking for his family and socialising with friends. In recent years Riaan has become an accomplished runner, competing in many local charitable events.

Nikolas qualified from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy in 2019. Since then he has worked in practices in Greece, Ipswich and London. He is experienced in the cosmetic dentistry field including Invisalign, Porcelain Veneers and Composite Bonding. He has also completed a post graduate program in Implant Dentistry. Nikolas enjoys building a strong rapport with patients and always puts their interest first. He is very confident, reassuring and friendly with his patients.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves travelling around the world.

Yogita is an overseas-qualified dentist and a GDC-registered Dental Therapist, currently on the pathway to obtaining her UK dental licence. Yogita is a BDS Gold Medallist and consistent academic topper, she has demonstrated academic excellence and a strong dedication to dentistry from an early stage. Yogita is passionate about ethical, patient-centred care and firmly believes that dentistry is a noble profession, entrusted with protecting patients’ oral health and smiles.
Outside her professional life, she enjoys making new friends, exploring new places, and is a true food enthusiast with a particular love for spicy cuisine. She is friendly, motivated, and compassionate and always places patients’ best interests at the heart of her clinical practice.
Dental Hygienist

Rachel is a graduate from The University of Essex. She previously worked as a dental nurse for many years before progressing her career in dentistry as a dental hygienist.
She has have a keen interest in nutrition and its effects on oral and general health and enjoys helping patients to improve their smiles.
When she is not doing that, she enjoys showing her dogs, riding her horse, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Sara is a dedicated and skilled hygienist with experience in providing comprehensive dental care and hygiene services. Sara graduated from Essex University in October 2022 with a FdSC in Oral Health Science. She is a motivated and enthusiastic worker with a passion for helping people achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Sara has also undergone courses in periodontitis and gum disease and stays up to date with all the latest treatments.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton, staying active, and spending time with her cat!
Hygiene Therapist

Laura began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse qualifying in 2014. She had an interest in prevention and patient education, and wanted to take the next step in her career, studying dental therapy at UHI Inverness. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit and going to the gym. Laura enjoys writing with work published in The BDJ and Young Dentist Magazine.
In her spare time, she enjoys going for meals with family and friends and visiting new places.
Practice Manager
Carmen has been working in dentistry since 2009 and has a wealth of knowledge in general dentistry and orthodontics.
After moving to Dovercourt in 2020, Carmen started working at Bay View Dental Practice in September 2021 as part of the reception team. Since this Carmen has progressed to the position of Practice Manager.
Carmen thoroughly enjoys her days at work and working as a team supporting patients on a day to day basis.
Outside of work Carmen enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Lead Receptionist
Sally joined the team at Bay View Dental in December 2022 and works on reception.
As lead receptionist for the practice, she is the first point of contact for patients on arrival and over the phone. She enjoys welcoming patients into the practice every day making them feel welcome and at ease. She loves being part of a great team!
Outside of work, Sally is married, a mum, and has 2 dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys taking the dogs for long walks along the beach. She loves spending time with family and enjoys a BBQ or two in the summer!
Receptionist

Nicci joined the practice in February 2026 and is part of the reception team, although is also a qualified dental nurse. Nicci loves meeting and greeting the patients and making them feel comfortable as soon as they enter the practice.
Outside of work Nicci is married with two stepchildren and two cats. You will always find her curled up with a good book and a cup of tea!Nicci loves spending time with her family and never says no to good food!
Lead Dental Nurse

Kelly joined our practice in July 2021. She has been a dental nurse since 2003 and gained the National certificate in dental nursing in 2005. She has a keen interest in surgical treatments and gained the National certificate for dental nurse sedation qualification in 2017.
In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, running and indoor climbing.
She regularly does ultra challenges to raise money for charities.

Lucy began her dental nursing career in 2020 and qualified in 2022. She joined the practice in January 2024 and has since been working alongside Ernst in Surgery 3, and thoroughly enjoying every moment! She is passionate about supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visits.
Outside of work, Lucy enjoys playing hockey and football and going to the gym. She loves nothing more than booking her next holiday and discovering new places. Whilst Lucy loves exploring new places, Greece will always hold a special place in her heart—and she hopes to experience every corner of it someday.

Beth joined the practice in November 2022. She has been a dental nurse since 2016 and trained at Colchester Institute. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at the local sea scout group and spending time with her family and dog.

Samina is a dedicated dental nurse with over 5 years of experience in mixed practices, and qualified in 2023 for National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN. Samina joined the practice in November 2024 and really enjoys working with everyone.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, hiking and exploring new places. She is into K-pop so also enjoys going to K-pop events and shows. She also loves to celebrate her heritage by participating in her traditional festivals and ceremonies.

Amy joined the practice in 2018 to study for her apprenticeship, she has been a qualified dental nurse since 2020. Amy mainly works within our decontamination room as our queen of clean!.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her two beautiful girls, husband and cat. She enjoys crochet, video games and all things arts and crafts.

Lucy qualified as a dental nurse in February 2022. She had always wanted to become a dental nurse, so started training as soon as she left High School, age 16.
She enjoys looking after patients and making them feel comfortable during treatment. She also has a special interest in radiography. I list "making a patient's day" as the most rewarding part of my job.
Lucy enjoys spending time with her family. In my spare time, I enjoy taking my dog, Bella, for long walks in Wrabness woods and listening to music.

Daisy joined the practice in July 2020. In her spare time Daisy likes majorettes and banger racing.

Olivia joined the practice in April 2024 and is currently studying towards her dental nursing qualification. She enjoys putting nervous patients at ease and forming good relationships.
In her spare time Olivia loves to read, go on dog walks and travel with her partner, she especially loves a city break!
